Back and spine
- Back pain. Aching, stiffness or pain in the lower, middle or upper back. Chiropractic adjustments are often part of the plan.
- Sciatica. Pain that starts in the low back or buttock and travels down the leg. After an exam, spinal decompression or adjustments may be options.
- Disc problems. A bulging or herniated disc can bring on back or neck pain. Spinal decompression is one option Dr. Ken may talk through.
- Spinal degeneration. Wear and tear on the discs and joints of the spine. Dr. Ken can walk you through your options after an exam.
- Radiating arm and leg pain. Pain that travels from the neck or back into an arm or leg. If a disc is involved, spinal decompression may be one option.
Neck and head
- Neck pain. Soreness or pain in the neck, from posture, sleep or strain. Chiropractic adjustments are often used for it.
- Stiff neck. A neck that is hard to turn or tender to move. Dr. Ken will check how it moves during your exam.
- Headaches. Many people come in for headaches that seem tied to neck tension or posture. Adjustments are one option Dr. Ken may talk through after your exam.
- Whiplash. A strain of the neck from a sudden jolt, such as a car accident. Get checked by a medical doctor first, then Dr. Ken examines you before recommending anything.
Joints and limbs
- Frozen shoulder. A shoulder that is stiff and painful to lift or turn. Dr. Ken looks at how it moves and talks through options.
- Rotator cuff injuries. Strain to the muscles and tendons around the shoulder. Cold laser therapy and other care may be options after an exam.
- Tennis and golf elbow. Soreness on the outer or inner elbow, often from repeated gripping or swinging. Cold laser therapy is one option to ask about for sore tendons like these.
- Carpal tunnel syndrome. Numbness, tingling or aching in the hand and wrist. Your exam helps sort out whether the wrist, the neck or both are involved.
- Hip pain. Pain in or around the hip, which can also come from the low back. Chiropractic adjustments may be part of a plan after an exam.
- Arthritis. Stiff, sore joints. Dr. Ken can talk through gentle options that fit alongside the care you get from your medical doctor.
- Foot and ankle pain. Pain in the foot or ankle from standing, walking or an old injury. The office is a PowerStep orthotic insole supplier.
- Plantar fasciitis. Pain in the heel or along the arch, often worst with the first steps of the morning. Ask about PowerStep orthotic insoles at your visit.
Injuries
- Sports injuries. Tweaks, strains and overuse problems from sports and workouts. Chiropractic adjustments or cold laser therapy may be options after an exam.
- Sprains and strains. Overstretched ligaments or muscles from a twist, fall or awkward lift. An exam comes first so you get the right kind of care.
- Car accident injuries. Neck, back and other aches after a crash. If you were hurt, see a medical doctor first, as described in when to get medical care first.
