Massage and chiropractic together
Massage is one part of the care offered at Wolfrum Crossing Chiropractic. If you already see Dr. Ken, you can ask whether massage might fit into your plan.
Massage is offered alongside chiropractic adjustments, spinal decompression and cold laser therapy.
Massage does not replace medical care. Share your health history, injuries and medications with your therapist, and talk with your medical doctor about pain that is severe, sudden or does not go away. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911.
Massage questions
What types of massage do you offer?
The office offers therapeutic, deep tissue, hot stone and prenatal massage, trigger point work, cupping and reiki with Lana, our massage therapist. If you are not sure which one to choose, call 636-300-8089 and the office can talk it through with you.
What is the difference between therapeutic and deep tissue massage?
Therapeutic massage is a hands-on approach for daily aches, pains and stress. Deep tissue massage uses firmer pressure aimed at the deeper layers of muscle. If you are not sure which suits you, call the office at 636-300-8089 and ask before you book.
Will cupping leave marks?
It may. Cupping can leave temporary circular marks where the cups were placed, and how noticeable they are varies from person to person. Ask what to expect when you book, and tell the therapist if you bruise easily or take blood thinners.
Is prenatal massage safe?
Talk with your OB or midwife first, because they know your pregnancy and health history. Prenatal massage is designed for people who are pregnant. When you book, let the office know you are expecting, and the therapist will ask about your pregnancy.
How do I book a massage?
Book a massage online through the online scheduling page, or call the office at 636-300-8089. If you are not sure which type of massage to choose, call first and the office can help. Appointments are recommended.
Can I use my HSA or FSA for massage?
Plans differ, so ask your plan administrator whether massage is an eligible expense on your HSA or FSA. The rules come from your plan, not from the office. You can also call 636-300-8089 to ask how massage visits are handled.
